About LM Leadwork

Matthew Clark started college in 1986, completing a four year apprenticeship in plumbing and lead work. Whilst studying it became apparent to Matthew’s tutors that had a natural ability working with lead.

The natural aptitude recognised at college has led to a successful career spanning almost 40 years. During his nearly four decade long career Matthew has had opportunity to work on prestigious buildings in London and the south east. One example is a worked five year contract working at Holloway Sanitorium; this provided opportunity to work on some of the interesting and technical challenges of my career, examples of which are on this website. This work included casting, a skill rarely used in this era.

Examples of work undertaken in recent years can be seen on the website, demonstrating the level of skill and quality of work carried out on a daily basis.

Four years ago Matthew’s son Lewis joined the family business, learning the trade first hand in the family business.
